Trauma healing program started 2012 in South Sudan with the LRA activities in Western Equatoria State. This program offers a practical approach to engaging the Bible and principles to find God’s healing for wounds of the heart. The whole Country of South Sudan people are traumatized as we are experiencing wars and conflicts. Trauma healing provides a strong foundation for restoring lives and relationships based on Biblical understanding. It is a resource for leaders in churches and NGOs who care for people who have suffered horrific events like war, civil unrest, ethnic conflict, rape, and natural disasters.

South Sudanese has experienced conflict violence in December 15th, 2013 and July 7th, 2016. Displacement, destruction of properties, women raped and road targeted accidents, resulting in trauma, poverty, misery and destabilized families.

Summary of Need

Trauma Healing program brings hope and healing people’s hearts affected by traumatic events. Dealing with trauma will help restore the affected peoples’ wellbeing of whole communities. The audience is to have healing by training facilitators from the churches. Trauma healing materials (HWT). Translation of trauma healing materials in different languages in South Sudan (Moru, Zande, Bari, Dinka, Nuer, etc). Completion of the remaining 3 audio lessons to be recorded. There is need to train more facilitators within the Country because of ongoing conflict. The audience is to have healing by training facilitators from the churches.
