My name is Mama Stella John, and I am a member of the Pentecostal Church in Munuki, located in the Gudeele area of Juba, South Sudan. Today, I want to share how my life has been deeply transformed through the Trauma Healing Program.

For a long time, I had heard about the Trauma Healing Group, but for one reason or another, I was never able to attend. This time, by the grace of God, I managed to join—and it became one of the most important decisions of my life.

From the very first session, I was touched deeply, especially by the lessons “If God Loves Us, Why Do We Suffer?” and “Healing the Wounds of Trauma.” These teachings opened my eyes. I realized that I was carrying deep wounds—pain and grief that I had buried for years, thinking I was fine. But in truth, I was traumatized.

The lesson that had the greatest impact on me was “Taking Our Pain to the Cross.” For the first time, I understood that Jesus not only saves us, but He also invites us to bring our brokenness, our sorrows, and our deep pain to Him. I wept as I felt the heavy burden inside me begin to lift. I experienced healing—not just in my heart, but in my spirit.

I am truly grateful to the Bible Society of South Sudan for making this program possible. Through their support, broken hearts like mine are finding healing and hope again. I also want to thank our dear facilitator, Hannah, who gave her time and heart to walk with us in this journey of healing. Her compassion and guidance made all the difference.

Today, I stand stronger and more hopeful. I know I am not alone, and I now have tools to continue healing and helping others who are still hurting. May God bless everyone involved in this life-changing ministry.
