In the heart of Mundri, behind the walls of the local prison, a remarkable transformation is taking place. Through the dedication of Pastor Phillip Jima, an FCBH (Faith Comes By Hearing) facilitator, prisoners have been given the opportunity to engage with God’s Word like never before. A Bible listening group was introduced within the prison, offering inmates the chance to hear and reflect on Scripture, while those who are able to read received copies of the Moru Bible.
The impact of this program has been profound. Many prisoners have shared powerful testimonies of how their hearts and minds have been changed through listening to God’s Word. They confessed that before this, they were blinded by sin and lacked knowledge of God’s teachings. But now, they see the truth and acknowledge the need for repentance, forgiveness, and a renewed life in Christ.
Some inmates admitted their past mistakes and expressed deep remorse for the wrongs they have committed. They are now asking for forgiveness from both people and God, embracing the hope of a second chance. The Word of God is breaking chains—not just physical chains, but spiritual ones, leading them to a path of redemption and transformation.
This initiative is a powerful reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Even behind prison walls, His love and mercy are at work, changing lives and restoring hope.
Let us continue to pray for these men, that they may grow stronger in faith and find true freedom in Christ. May their testimonies serve as a beacon of hope for others who are searching for redemption.
