“So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.”

Naaman’s servants gently urged him to reconsider: If he had been asked to do something grand, wouldn’t he have obeyed? Sometimes, God’s instructions seem too simple to be effective, yet obedience to His word is what activates His healing power. When Naaman laid aside his pride and followed Elisha’s instructions, he was completely healed. In the same way, God invites us into healing through small acts of faith. Whether it’s prayer, seeking forgiveness, or taking steps toward better health, healing often requires simple obedience.

Reflection Questions:

  • What simple steps of obedience might God be asking you to take toward healing?
  • Is there an area where you’ve been resisting God’s instructions, thinking they won’t make a difference?
