This project will be the first start in the Bible Society in South Sudan and will be successful and well received by the citizen of South Sudan. As the civil war continues in the country, according to the survey made and daily national news; people are yarning to hear God’s word speaking in their hearts and heal their stress and frustration. The Bible Society in South Sudan wants to restore hope and joy in people’s heart through hearing and reading the word of God. “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” Romans10:14
This project aims at teaching the love of God through his word and creating a peaceful coexistence for local people to hear, read, and engage with the word of God so that they may have a stronger voice on peace in South Sudan through their churches and South Sudan council of churches. The focus shall be on evangelism and discipleship in the camps by using Biblical tools. We will arrange different activities including local trips, educational seminars/workshops, conferences and Biblical engagement.
